Summary : Through in-depth product knowledge, provides primarily pre-sales and potentially some post-sales technical support to the company's sales staff and customers.
Essential Functions :
Provides support in a pre-sales through post-sales capacity, such as product capability assessment and validation.
Provides, presents, and interprets design, application, and service information in a variety of situations, including complex requirements and negotiations.
Develops product specifications and applications usable by a specific customer and explores the business feasibility of general marketing.
Provides technical assistance to customers (e.g., assisting a customer in designing and programming parts).
Designs interface examples of how the company’s products connect in various systems.
Actively works with customers on design activities.
Participates in design evaluation.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Has internal and some external contacts.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
Other duties as required.
Education and / or Experience :
A technology related bachelor’s degree or equivalent of training and 2 years of related experience.
An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience requirement.
