The job :

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Account Manager to join our growing Oncology team in the Nordics. The role will focus on selling our Ion Torrent NGS platforms and related products to the Clinical Diagnostics market in Oncology.

The portfolio will cover both Solid Tumours and Haemato-Oncology solutions.

You will manage pre-existing customers, maintaining a strong ongoing relationship while working to open up new sales opportunities within these accounts as we expand our product menu and application.

You will also develop in-depth knowledge of the Clinical Diagnostics market, our customers and our competitors and utilize this to identify new customers and win new business.

As such, you must be a sales hunter in mindset and strongly motivated by targets. To be successful in this role you will have deep technical understanding of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and the Oncology Market, combined with a background in Business Development.

This is a field-based role covering Finland and the Nordic countries. We are looking for qualified candidates based anywhere in Finland, providing you are happy to travel extensively on a weekly basis (on average 3-4 days per week).

What will you do?

  • Identify sales opportunities, primarily within clinical diagnostics groups, and drive the sales process to completion
  • Identify the full base of possible target customers by direct marketing and research, including exploring additional applied markets
  • Obtain successful adoption of the technology within all applied markets while investigating the potential of other applications and solutions both pre-clinically and clinically
  • Manage and maintain key relationships with collaborating partners
  • Develop and execute business plans for targeted accounts
  • Complete a territory business analysis for management quarterly review
  • Partner with marketing department to support the development and execution of marketing programs and sales materials
  • Maintain and develop the CRM database, provide regular sales reports and forecasts
  • Who we are looking for : (experience, skills & abilities)

  • Degree in a Life Science essential (Molecular Biology or similar ideal)
  • Experience of selling into the Clinical Diagnostics market essential (ideally within Oncology)
  • Hands-on experience of Molecular Biology, Next Generation Sequencing and / or Oncology techniques and instruments gained in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Ability to sell in a consultative manner through understanding the specific customer need and proposing a suitable solution from our product portfolio
  • Ability to understand complex scientific literature and use complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
  • Commercial acumen and good market intelligence with respect to competitor products and vendors
  • Sales-driven mindset, strongly motivated by targets and winning new business
  • Fluent in English (essential); Finnish an advantage
